A Total Mess

Ares POV I'm not sure what to make of this feeling. Dana's words on the mic left me stunned. She walked away without a word, and all eyes followed her as she exited, the room still buzzing with noise. I simply want to turn her down, I never imagined she would leave like that, disregarding all the pleas she made for me to stay. I sense the agony of my wolf, Blaze, deep within me. I feel completely immobile at the moment. I can't seem to get Dana out of my mind. "Wow, this wedding seems like a total mess!" There is a buzz of conversation and laughter in the air. "I'm embarrassed for our Luna and Alpha who can't even address the situation after it was ruined by an Omega girl!" "Ares! Wow!" Blaire exclaimed. "What were you thinking!? You could have said something!" she yelled, and I looked around - they were all laughing, and I glanced at the elders who were shaking their heads. I walked away from everyone at the venue, noticing Ander's wide-eyed expression as he tried to prevent gossip, while Blaire followed me outside. She firmly took hold of my hand. "What on earth are you attempting to do at this moment!?" she snapped. "You didn't even attempt to stand up for me or acknowledge me as your Luna!" When I gaze at her, there is emptiness, a lack of emotion. I'm feeling a bit lost right now. I am still surprised by what has happened that I don't want her to talk to me. "You're my Luna now, Blaire," I whispered with a chill in my voice. "The wedding has concluded." With my hand in my pocket, I added while she shrugged and continued to follow me. "Are you serious!? That wasn't the wedding I desired!" she scoffed. "You should have disciplined that woman for ruining the wedding I had envisioned!" "I'd rather not discuss it at this moment, Blaire," I informed her - there were no words I could say to her at the moment, and I could see the anger in her expression, which was unfamiliar to me. Her jaw tightened. "I am disappointed," she whispered, looking at me with anger before turning her back and running inside the pack house. As I watch her run off, I can still see Dana who stands out from the group, making it clear she no longer wants to be a part of it. I can sense my heart racing - It's the pain my wolf experienced. "I can't stand this," Blaze whispered. I took a deep breath. "You're going to make it through this, you have so much strength". I informed him, and I noticed Ander approaching me with a look of disappointment on his face. He appears to be perspiring. "People are returning to their usual routines, aware that Blaire Van Everhart has been named the pack's official Luna," he told me, but I didn't care about what he was saying. "Great. The alliance is secured," I murmured, slipping my hand into my pocket. "Are you feeling alright?" He inquired. 'Some individuals believe that everything is a laughing matter." "I'd appreciate it if you didn't speak to me at the moment." I turned my back on him, asserting my authority. "The elders want to-" "I simply aim to ensure the alliance is secure," I said with little enthusiasm. As I stroll away, I casually run my fingers through my hair. Dana POV After breaking away from the group, I now stroll through the forest, the familiar spot where I would often locate Noah. I still don't feel completely satisfied with what happened, but I am glad that I have finally accepted his rejection. It's his decision on what he'll do next, but I can't shake this feeling of hurt as I reminisce about our past moments and the depth of my love for him. "I am extremely frustrated with Blaire!" Xia expressed her dissatisfaction. "She is fully aware of her actions and continues to behave in that manner, which is surprising considering Ares' acceptance of her behavior." She grumbled, most likely rolling her eyes, while I simply closed my eyes for a moment and continued walking. I'd rather not talk about them. "It means nothing to me, Xia-" "It's something! I just hope they get what's coming to them. Life can be quite complex in various ways." she continues to complain about them, but all I can focus on is improving myself. All I felt was disgust and stress. I am determined to avenge my parents. I want Blaire to experience the same pain my parents felt after she killed them, and I want Ares to understand my suffering. No one can stand in my way. "Where on earth are we headed?" Xia lets out a deep sigh. "We could run into Blaire's followers. She is never satisfied." She added that she could detect the irritation in her voice. "I prefer not to focus on anything else at the moment, Xia. I aim to enhance my strength and reciprocate past actions. I want everything to be different this time - I refuse to be a victim again." I whispered, and she sighed, but I stopped in the middle of the woods when I sensed something different. The darkness is closing in, and I can't shake the feeling of being watched by those piercing eyes. Xia whispered with concern, "Something is not right." When I turned my head, I was taken aback to see rogues standing in front of me. Once more, I looked away, and a multitude of figures were wandering around me. "What-" Out of nowhere, a group of assailants ambushed me, causing me to tumble to the ground. I let out a loud groan as someone grabbed my bag. "No!" I shouted. "Hey, that belongs to me! I possess the items my parents left for me-" "Do you think we care?" One of their eyes changed to yellow as they opened my bag and tossed out everything except the luxury items. I stood up. "No, please stop!" I pleaded, but one of them let out a loud cry and struck my face to the ground. A man kneels before me, laughing. He whispered, "Such a stunning sight," while gently holding my chin. I gaze at him with trepidation. "Do you want this?" he presents me with the necklace my parents had gifted me. I attempted to grab it, but he quickly closed his fists around it. He attempted to reach for my hair, but I swiftly slapped his face and stood up. His eyes lit up with intensity. "You have an attractive appearance, but your behavior is challenging, and that's what we enjoy reprimanding..." He whispered as his face gradually changed into that of a wolf. His eyes transformed to a striking shade of yellow, while his sharp fangs became visible. With a fierce howl, he shifted into his wolf form. The other rogues cleared a path for him as he attempted to attack me, but I did everything in my power to prevent him from harming me. "Shift!!" I called out to Xia. "Okay!" She replied swiftly, pushing through the pain as she transformed into her wolf form after the rogue sliced her neck with his long nails. I attempted to retaliate, but he swiftly grabbed my head and forcefully slammed it against the stone. I let out a fierce roar as my wolf lay defeated, unable to continue the fight. They let out a resounding, confident howl. "Xia..." I pleaded, but we couldn't both be completely innocent. "Leave her alone." Before me was a towering figure with a commanding voice.
