Sophie POV
Unable to help myself, I tuned out all other sounds to listen to the words that were said after Jett asked me and the warriors to carry on. He kept his voice low enough. so that it didn't travel more than an inch from where he stood.
All I could hear was the servant's reply,
"Yes, Alpha."
Followed by Sabrina's guard's voice.
He'd overturned his fiancée's orders twice in the last twelve hours. What did that mean? It was hard to ignore the fluttering in my heart as I walked beside Vera with his clothes in my arms.
I reminded myself again and again that I hated him. The fact that he didn't want me doing his warriors' laundry didn't change the reality of Sabrina smelling like him this early in the morning. It didn't matter if he acted like he was on my side instead of hers.
