I was unable to locate Trixie by following her scent. Alpha Avery forbid me from searching for her on my own. I could easily find her, but he was afraid she was with the hunters. While I was afraid, she was captured by them. But I have to follow my Alpha's orders. If not, I would be challenging him, and I would be labeled as a traitor. I had no Alpha blood in me, so I didn't have a choice in the matter.
Duke was infuriated by being kept away from our mate. We both knew of Trixies' innocence, but we were simply not being listened to.
