I pulled the duvet over my head, pretending to be asleep….hell, I was pretending to be sick or do anything to avoid facing Sera this morning. But my best friend wasn't having any of it.
"Oh, hell no!" I gasped as she grabbed my leg from under the covers and yanked hard. "Get your lying ass up, Kestrel! I know you're fine."
I'd been avoiding her since yesterday, ever since that kiss with Zeph went viral all over campus. Thanks to my dear father's dramatic timing, half the school had their phones out recording when I threw myself at the mysterious new guy.
