Alice held out a mirror in front of her, examining her face. She gasped in surprise, gently touching the edge of her cheek. Liam stared in shock too. His body felt stiff and his mind was a whirlwind of so many thoughts and words. He couldn’t believe what he had done.
“It’s all gone,” she whispered in awe. “How? How did you do it?”
“I don’t know,” he whispered, his soul merely flitting around his body. “I don’t know how I did it.” He looked at his hands in awe. “I don’t know what I’m doing here and you’ve got algae under your skin.”
