They met in a small coffee shop near the University of Chicago. Claire-Marie and Jon were sitting across from Professor Crossman, an expert in logic and morality. Claire-Marie and Jon had slipped away from Ann Arbor on a Sunday afternoon and driven to Chicago. They would be home early the next morning, hoping no one noticed their absence.
