The last thing I could remember was the frozen plunge I had taken into the river while my hot blood poured out of me.
Everything had happened so quickly... I had tried to fight... I tried to surface from the river, to make it to the edge, anything to keep my body alive. However, my body had failed me, and all I was capable of was lying there and allowing the current to sweep me away.
I felt the darkness overtake me. I allowed the numbness to consume me, and drive me towards my impending death.
