The Alpha’s Healer Mate

Day After

The next day I wake up and Alex side of the bed is cold but it does look like he slept in it. I use the mind link but he doesn’t answer, meaning he is asleep. I follow my nose and it leads straight to the office he is working in. I open the door quietly and Alex is slumped over his desk sleeping. My mate has been working hard and there are different pieces of paperwork involving the pack members who died during the attack. I go back to the bedroom and grab a blanket to cover him up, I go back to his office and do so. I let him rest while I move over to a coffee table and take the list of dead pack members with me. I grab the laptop that he was using and open it up finding a pack member database that most larger packs use to keep track of members, how old they are, and what it is they do. I start by entering the data from where my mate left off based on the list given to us by the doctor. I go through the list and update the pack record for those who have passed. I also get in the desk drawer and get the pack checkbook to write checks to the mates if the pack members who died or the parents if they didn’t have a mate. I am writing the last check when my mate wakes up, he looks around confused for a moment and then sees me giving me a small smile. He then sees the paperwork in front of me and what I have done, he thanks me and gathers me up into his arms while he mind links Matt to sign the checks and hand them out.

Alex carries me up to our bedroom and plops me down on the bed. “Thank you for all your help and helping the members of the pack who are hurting”, I reply, “Of course mate, it’s part of being a good Luna”. Alex nods his head and leans into me, then as I close my eyes his lips meet mine. A great make out session takes place, Alex is sucking on my tongue and grinding into me when there is a knock on the door. “Alpha it’s Matt, I handed out all of the checks and it’s been recommended that we do some sort of party for the pack members who died as a remembrance of them. We wanted to know if you wanted to proceed with something like this?” Alex groans and slams his head into a pillow. “I’d love to have a nice time with my mate, maybe get a little action, but no, I guess I have to go and be an Alpha”. I chuckle as Alex gets up, adjusts his pants, and head out the door. I decide since my mate is going to be busy again, that I will go help the pack, via one of my favorite things, children.

There is a pack nursery that one of the pack members who died worked at, I decide to go there and spend the afternoon with the children. I help care for the children the entire afternoon until all the parents have picked up their children. Then I head back home to make a nice meal of Alex and I. I make a hat is called chicken lorzone, it’s an Italian pasta dish that has so much flavor, it was one of my dad’s favorite dishes I made when I was still in my parents pack. I wait for Alex to come home but he mind linked me that he was still busy and to not wait up for me and that he would fill me in tomorrow about everything. I decide to eat and then get a shower. I then fall asleep dreaming of my wonderful mate.
