A place called Time

Annie Carth POV I woke up to a splitting headache, I rubbed my forehead against my hand felling a bandage rapped on my head and the sound of an electrocardiogram (ECG) machine going "beep beep beep" . I looked around and with the evidences I saw I knew where I was -The Hospital - the only question was WHY?. I hardly remembered what happened but at least I should be taken to my own hospital. I removed all the needles from my body and tried to get up but I was too weak, so I just sat up on the bed trying to recall anything but my mind went blank , it was as if my last memory went on a break. My head only ached as I tried to remember anything just then hot streaming tears rolled down my cheeks but why am I crying I asked myself but I knew nothing. I decided to try harder and just then in a flash of light ...........I remembered. I woke up again to see my mom and dad looking worried while the doctor examined me. My mom broke down to tears and ran to hug me while interfering with the doctor's work. But everything seemed different "My parents looked younger" Still recovering from what I remembered I asked my mom "What year is this?" She looked surprised probably wandering if my brain was still in the right place , she looked at the doctor sharing a confused look before looking back at me ,then she replied "2017" . I was trying to comprehend everything that has happened then the doctor started asking me different questions like "where I lived , how old am I , who are the people with me " any way as you guessed I failed all the questions except I knew who my parents were . The doctor talked to my parents in the office while I went to the bathroom of the hospital to take a look at myself because there is no way I am 16 again. When I reached the bathroom mirror I was shocked to see I was looking like my 16 years old self again I leaned against the wall trying to understand the magnitude of things. * Pause* Most of you are probably wondering "what is happening?" . I took thought the same thing but I later understood what was going on. Please try to believe it but I am from 2025 . I am going to brief you about my adult life but as we go you will understand my childhood I wasn't brought up in a rich home but I became rich myself. My siblings and I were never going to settle for less. I opened up my first business at eighteen with the help of my elder sis who was studying Law, we started up with a jewelry business which we made ourselves through shrink plastic, then I went to making organic soap , to entering fashion, you name it and I have done it. Don't get me wrong but I was working so hard to own my own hospital and with hard work , perseverance and God's Grace I did it and of course I graduated with honors. During that time I wasn't interested in dating not because I don't feel attracted to the opposite s*x just that I didn't think it was the right time . I had a crush on a guy named Mark Anderson but when he asked me out I told him my reason and he totally understood and decided to wait for me. And he did me and Mark got married at 25 when he was 27 and I swear those were the happiest days of my life, like who wouldn't be happy a loving husband , money, house , business, even things money couldn't buy I had , so I thought so let me fast-forward to the time when my life made this drastic turn.
