FRIDAY
Natalie rolled over in the bed, her eyes fluttering awake in the dark bedroom of Finn’s suite. It was still dark outside, so she reached for her phone on the nightstand and checked the time. 4:08 AM.
“Did I wake you?”
Natalie heard Finn’s warm, tenor voice whisper to her through the darkness, and she turned her head in his direction. She could see him sitting up in bed, his back against the headboard, and his muscular torso was visible above the sheets that laid across his waist.
“No,” she mumbled groggily, moving her head to lay in his lap. “I had a bad dream about the opening.”
“Tell me about it,” he said, brushing his fingers lightly through her hair. “It will be a welcome distraction.”
