Twenty Nine

I stood rooted to my spot as I contemplated what to do about this new piece of information. Aston told everybody not to dance with me. Why not? Why did he care if I danced with somebody or not? I wasn’t on duty that I needed to focus on him, so why would he do that? I couldn’t blame the people because Aston was a powerful man and if they dared to go against him, then he could very well ruin them. But I had to know why he was ordering everyone to stay away from me. It was my sister’s wedding and he himself told me how he was expecting me to dance so why would he say something like this when he clearly knew no one would dance with me? Without thinking of the consequences, I stormed over to where I left him sitting by the tables. I bit my lip as I saw him sitting and swiping on his phone.
