Chapter 2
In about 48hrs, she was connected to Henry.
She wants to jump into a relationship with him because she has money and everything, while Henry wants to take everything slowly in order to study her.
Finally, he invited her to his place after weeks of talking, and he decided to meet her, apart from the video calls and others.
The next day, she had prepared her most expensive car for a journey to his place. She drove to his house in an expensive blue Toyota Prado.
When he saw the car entering the compound, he was astonished by what his eye had seen.
He went straight to her as she packed. When she got down, he gave her a warm smile while hugging her. “I know you had a nice drive and I believe you didn’t find it difficult to locate my place.” She responded, “Not at all. It was stress-free locating here.”
He held her bag while they moved inside the house, then she sat in the sitting room. He brought out wine to offer, but she requested water.
Anyway, “I must comment you look beautiful.” She responded, “Thanks so much.”
“His mind just pondered that the lady would be a controlling type, and I believe she wouldn’t give me breathing space.”
“Why the sudden silence? Is there any problem? She asked.”
“No, I was just admiring your beauty," then he decided to make a comment. “I prefer you should give us a little time to study with each other.” “Really, what’s there? Besides am a well-to-do woman, I can take care of you.”
He wasn’t happy about the comment she made, “that she can take care of him.” His mode changed and showed in his face. When she noticed that he had offended her because of her comment, she quickly apologized for the negative comment she made and wanted to leave.
“Come and see me off, will probably come around tomorrow.” “Okay.
He escorted her to the car, and she left.
Henry called Greg and briefed him about the lady, viewing her attitude as being a type that would be controlling a man.
“Anyway, just give it a try. If she doesn’t suit you, then you quit.” “Okay no challenge, I have heard you.”
Thus, Henry doesn’t really want to jump into a relationship with Lady Sylvia, he wants to play hard to get with her.
To really study her, and not to be a blind fool with her riches, to avoid making mistakes in marriage.
Lady Sylvia was trying to fasten the relationship with him. She even plans to buy him a car as a gift.
After one week, she bought a Midsize SUVs Car for him as a gift. When Henry saw the car, he thanked her.
“You really bought this for me! She responded, “Yep, it’s yours.”
“But I am not accepting the car.” Why?
“Because I haven’t accepted to date you, this might be an obligation to accept you.
She responded, “It’s just a gift. I don’t need anything in return, please!
He stood firmly and looked her straight in the eye, and said, “Let me state it clearly, I don’t want a relationship with you. I gave you a listening ear because my guy brought you to me, and also to give you an opportunity to know ourselves.”
“And I think that it’s not what I want from a woman, so I can’t date you.”
She replied, “Then again, even if you don’t want a relationship with me, but please buy buy this car in your name, and it’s a gift.”
“No, I don’t want it, thanks so much.”
She was confused with a sad look on her face. “Okay, can we still be friends?” He responded, “Sure.”
Thus, the car was driven.
Another journey!
After three months of staying in the highland city, Henry decided to drive around town, with an outdated model Mercedes car he inherited from his father.
When he navigated to the town, it was a mega-market day. He got himself stuck up in traffic for hours before he was able to drive out of it.
On getting to the nearby junction, turning his left to get his tire pump, he saw Raph, his high schoolmate.
“Who do I have here! So this is you,” he responded. “it quite a long time we met.” Raph was the head boy during their set in high school.
What are you doing on this side of the city? Raph responded, “I am working there, ‘pointing his finger at the building,’ the third flow, that’s where my office is, it the ministry of rural development, Anex office.”
Henry responded, “Wow, that’s nice, anyway I decided to drive around the city today. Fortunately we met you as it’s.”
“Anyway, let me drop you off at your place, at least to know your house.” He responded, “That’s really thoughtful of you.”
On getting to Raph's house, he met his younger sister, Marie.
She is elegant and beautiful and she just graduated recently from Cambridge University, England. She welcomes Henry with a smile and offered him a seat.
Henry seems to like her, and feels to strike a conversation. She brought out wine to save him, and sat down with him and Henry had a chance to communicate with her, before Raph joined them.
Henry said, “Honestly, I must comment, you have a brilliant sister.” Thanks so much, he responded, “She is actually following in my footsteps. "You can remember, back then in high school, how I was doing well until they awarded me a scholarship to study at a higher institution.”
“Yeah, you did extremely well during our time in high school days.” Marie was just smiling while starring at Henry with appealing curves.
“I have to go before it gets dark. Thanks so much for the drinks and the food. "It's actually nice to know your place, I really appreciate it.” He greeted Raph with a handshake with a hug, while Marie sees him off to his car.
On getting to his car, he hugged her with a gentle kiss on her forehead. “Put your contact number here, so that we’ll communicate more.’’ She dialed her number on his phone, and a name popped up, showing “my princes,” Henry was confused as well as she. She confirmed the number, to be sure it was correctly typed in, it was actually the same number. Henry said, 'We have probably met before, but anyway we talked about that,’’ she smiled while he drove off.
