She was sold for Christmas.

Selene Hart never imagined being traded like a gift—least of all to Lucien Kane, the blind Alpha whose presence commands attention, fear, and something far more dangerous. Cold, dominant, and unrelenting, he doesn’t just see her—he senses her every heartbeat, every tremor of defiance, every hidden desire.

Trapped together in his snow-covered estate, Selene must navigate his rules, his power, and the unspoken tension that burns hotter than fire. Each glance, each touch, each whispered command draws them closer into a dangerous dance of control, lust, and undeniable attraction.

But when rival packs threaten their fragile peace, Lucien must rely on Selene in ways he never imagined, and she must surrender—not just to his power, but to the fire blazing between them.

This Christmas, what was meant to be a gift becomes so much more. Selene is no longer just property. She is his Luna… his equal… the one who can tame the blind Alpha’s heart.

“Can't believe it's almost Christmas,” Anaya exclaimed _ as she painted her nails, happily glaring at Selene who was mopping the stained floors. “Hey Selene, get me a glass of water!” she ordered, making Selene roll her eyes in annoyance. She dropped the mop, and headed to the kitchen grumbling. “I'm not your f*****g slave Naya get the water yourself!” she whispered only to herself, not daring to say it out loud because she can't face the consequences. Anaya is her sister. Blood sister but the hatred she has for Selene is toxic. Selene Hart. The last child of the Hart’s. She's twenty-two, a college dropout. The whole family hates her because their mother died while giving birth to her. Murderer. Witch. Curse. Those were their pet names for her. She's basically the maid in the house and the family's punching bag. Selene shook her head, pouring Naya the water she asked for. “You better not spit into that water murderer, or I'm going to slice you half open,” Anaya yelled from the living room. Selene jaw tightened. Of course. Before she could carry the cup out, Naya's phone rang. Naya checked the caller and rolled her eyes before picking it up. “Yes, how may I help you, Lucas?” she snapped at Lucas, her ex who was on the other end. He's always cheating on her, and when he calls, begs and gets her expensive stuff, she takes him back and keeps entertaining his damn ass. “Anaya, why are you being selfish? I told you I only had s*x with her last night,” Lucas barked through the phone. . “She's not Alice, and it was a mistake.” “Lucas, what made you think I'd come back to you?” she yelled. “ This is not your first time!” “But I told you it won't happen again. Please baby, don't leave me_" he begged, and Naya sighed. “Let's talk about this later. You will never change Lucas. This is what you do all the time!” she whispered. “But—” Anaya didn't let him finish his word before hanging up on him. Making sure she had finished calling, Selene came out of the kitchen, placing the glass of water in her front, but Anaya had other plans. Angry and frustrated, she took the glass of water and poured it on Selene, who knew what was going to happen. She took a step away and the water splashed all.over the floor. “Arghhhhhh,” Naya screamed. “You murderer, get me another water!” “Naya, you can go to the kitchen and get yourself a glass of water. I'm not the cause of your damn problem," selene snarled, and Naya looked up at her in disbelief. Her face twisted in fury. She stood up glaring at Selene, whose heart was beating so fast it could jump out of her chest. “Did you–Did you just yell at me?” Selene clenched her fist, her palm sweating. “No. I didn’t yell,” she shook her head. “You dare raise your voice at me you trash,” she leaped forward about to hit Selene when the front creaked open. “Nayaaaaa,” a voice interrupted and they both turned to look at the person. Nova Hart, their older sister. The one before Anaya. She walked in gracefully, putting on short black jeans and a grey top. Her hair is curvy and moves like a wave. She smiled sweetly at Naya, pulling her into an embrace. “Hey kiddo, what's going on?” she asked, her face turning into disgust when she noticed Selene. She glared at her chewing her gum. “This trash raised her voice at me. Can you imagine?” “I didn't raise my voice. I just–” Selene didn't finish her words when Nova's palm connected with her cheek. The sound echoed through the house like a gunshot. Selene’s hearing faded for a second. Her vision blurred. Her hand flew to her burning cheek, breath caught in her throat. “Because we let you breathe the same air as us, you think you have the right to talk?” Nova sneered. “I think it’s high time you learned your place.” Before Selene could react, Nova’s hand twisted into her hair, yanking her head back. Pain exploded across Selene’s scalp as she cried out, her feet stumbling as Nova dragged her across the hallway. “No—Nova, please—!” Selene thrashed, clawing at Nova’s wrist, but it was useless. Nova was stronger. Always had been. They stopped in front of a locked door. Selene’s stomach dropped. Everyone in the house knew that room. The room was built just for her. Nova shoved the door open and dragged Selene inside—the so-called torture room, cold and bare, stripped of warmth and mercy. Selene’s heart pounded violently as panic clawed up her throat. “Call the guards,” Nova said calmly over her shoulder. Anaya didn’t hesitate. She nodded eagerly, a cruel smile curling on her lips. Selene screamed, kicking and fighting with everything she had, but Nova slammed her down without effort. The door creaked ominously as it swung wider, sealing Selene’s fate. She was no match for Nova. She had never been. “Please…” Selene sobbed, her voice breaking. Nova didn’t even pause. The door opened, and the guards rushed in, boots heavy against the floor. Anaya followed right behind them, already pulling out her phone, her excitement impossible to miss. “Ooo, this is going to be epic and sweet,” Anaya giggled, lifting the phone to record. She flashed Nova a thumbs-up like this was entertainment. Nova didn’t look at her. Her attention stayed fixed on Selene. “Tie her up,” Nova ordered coldly. Selene shook her head violently, backing away until her shoulders hit the wall. Panic flooded her chest, stealing her breath. She struggled, screamed, fought with everything she had left—but the guards moved fast, their grip unyielding. Her pleas echoed off the walls. And still, no one listened. They forced her down. Rough hands pinned Selene’s wrists above her head, cold restraints biting into her skin as panic tore through her chest. She screamed, thrashed, begged—until her voice cracked and gave out. Nova stepped back, slow and deliberate, her expression calm. Satisfied. “Maybe pain will teach you silence,” she said flatly. Selene squeezed her eyes shut as the first strike came. She cried out. Then another. And another. Time blurred. Pain stacked on pain until numbers stopped meaning anything at all. The room filled with the sound of her sobs, the guards’ silence, Anaya’s quiet laughter as she filmed every second. At some point, Selene stopped screaming. Her body went slack, her mind drifting somewhere far away— When it was over, Nova turned away like she’d merely finished a chore. “Leave her,” she said. “Get your filthy self up and cook dinner before dad arrive” The door slammed shut, and they all left the room. Selene hung there alone, broken, shaking—breathing shallowly, barely—but still alive. ★☆★☆★☆☆★ Selene was still cooking when the front door opened. Laughter filled the house. Gilbert Hart stepped inside, his coat still on, his face split into a pleased smile— “Dad, you’re back?” Anaya squealed, rushing to him and throwing her arms around his neck. “My Naya,” Gilbert said warmly, patting her head. “How was your day?” “Not very fine,” she pouted, pulling back dramatically. “That murderer raised her voice at me, Dad. But Nova taught her a lesson already.” Nova emerged from her room at that moment, calm and composed. “Welcome home, Father,” she said. Gilbert nodded. “Thank you. We need to talk, girls.” Nova and Anaya exchanged a glance before settling comfortably on the couch. Gilbert’s eyes swept the room. His smile vanished. “Where’s that b***h?” “Murderer!” Anaya shouted. “Your attention is needed here!” Selene froze. Her body screamed in protest as she stopped what she was doing. Every movement hurts. Her legs shook as she walked toward the living room, pain shooting through her spine, her vision swimming. She bowed the moment she saw him. “Welcome, Father,” she said quietly. Gilbert scoffed. “You girls remember I have a debt with Alpha Lucien,” he said. Nova and Anaya nodded immediately. Selene stayed silent. No one ever told her anything. “So,” Gilbert continued, folding his hands, “I made a bargain with the Alpha’s beta. The Alpha needs someone to warm his bed for Christmas.” Anaya’s lips curled in delight. “And this curse,” Gilbert said, finally looking directly at Selene, “will be the one going to his estate.” The room went silent. Selene’s eyes widened. The world tilted.
