There was only one giant object orbiting around it, which was larger than anything I had ever seen, like a planet or moon around some of the other planets I used to see on giant astronomical binoculars scattered about our own planet when our astronomers let me go there sometimes. Maybe that was when I first fell in love with space.
The enormous artificial asteroid received energy from the planet through some kind of long and thick wire. I felt a strong urge to blow up that wire first. Then I dismissed it quickly because I had to look for the factory before they realized we were here. That's when I heard the second beep. The radar signalled approaching spaceships that were coming at a high speed. I knew right away that they didn't want to make friends with us.
