I grip my phone tightly and my knuckles become white.
My heart skips a beat as I blink my eyes rapidly. The cryptic words tumbles out of my lips.
“Did you say something?” Knox whirls to face me.
My hands begin to tremble, fear spreads through me as I try to decode the message.
“I got a message,” my voice breaks in panic. “From an unknown number.”
With his long strides, Knox close the gap between us and take the phone from me.
“Betrayal comes from the one you love. Men shouldn't be trusted.” He read the words aloud and a tight frown crosses his face.
He throw the phone to the bed, pulling me into a hug, my heading resting on his chest.
“That's nonsense,” he says. “Whoever that sent it, is just trying to fool around. Nothing to be scared of.”
