I looked at Shaurya and he was all quiet and was looking lost in his thoughts. Last night he behaved wrong with Princess Tiara, but I think that I can’t blame him for this because I know that we have gone through so much and that makes him alert and not to forget that he has experienced death almost thrice and if he wasn’t on alert it would be difficult for him to survive.

Though today he didn’t talk with her in that rude way but in a funny way, and he is teasing her about me. I don’t know why he is doing this. I don’t like her, but one thing that is correct is that she shouldn’t be with us.

“I don’t want to walk further. Let’s rest a bit.” I heard Shaurya saying.

“We haven’t walked for so long and you are already tired?”

“Then what do you expect from me to run a marathon over here?” I rolled my eyes.

“That is not what I mean.”

“I know that but right now my legs are not going to move further and if you are impatient about this, then go further. I will catch you guys when I feel relaxed.”

“Forget that I asked you that question. We will rest over here only.” I said and sat on one of the rocks and the princess also sat on one of them.

“Why don’t you want to go home?” Shaurya asked. I think that he wants to investigate her. I was about to interrupt him but I thought that it is not that bad for us to know what this person's intention is. Though I don’t know Shaurya well, I put my trust in him. That is because I know that his motive and my motive are the same, and that is to get out of here. So I know that both of our intentions are the same but she, she is different and is also the sister of our enemy.

“Because of my brother.”

“Are you saying the truth?” She sighed.

“I don’t want to answer your questions.”

“Then I have to think that you are here to make our journey harder than it is right now.”

“I didn’t plan to meet you guys over here.”

“Same. We think the same.” She rolled her eyes. He is irritating her but is also questioning her. He must be a unique piece in this whole world. Then I remembered the time when I had joked around but he took it seriously. I won’t say that when it was my turn to joke, he took it to his heart, but I think that there must be something inside my joke which had hurt his heart and made him reply those words. I have seen him more of the time laughing and full of energy, but I guess I had forgotten that we all are human and we all have something which makes us grief and makes our heart hurt.

“My brother has been going crazy since only you was cut open and I guess it was only you. His madness was growing and I wasn’t able to take it as he was also keeping me inside the room and locked. I couldn’t take it anymore and finally decided to run away from there.” This king really is looking for his death.

“Your brother's madness is asking for his own trouble.”

“I know that and, after all, he is also cursed and his death is also decided and with his death, the whole palace will face its death.”

“Will you also die?” I asked her and she looked at me and then looked away and gave a bitter smile.

“I don’t really know anything.”

“Then aren’t you afraid of us?” Shaurya asked her.

“Why should I be afraid of you? It is not like you are going to kill me.”

“Do you plan on returning?”

“I have to return or else my brother will definitely come for me and if he sees you guys then his madness will be very great.” I sighed.

“Won’t your brother punish you when you return?”

“I have told you that you don’t have to be concerned about me. You should do your own work.”

“That is what I am doing. I want to know more about you to trust you.”

“Why do you want to trust me?” He looked at me and smirked.

“Why are you looking at me with that look?”

“Well, don’t ask the reason. Just think that I want to trust you. Well, forget about that as well. Now that you are with us and basically my enemy, I am not sure about him.” He pointed in my way and I looked at him. “Then you must know the way to the palace.”

“Don’t you think that to avoid my brother’s death I could tell you the wrong direction and that maybe lead you to death?”

“Well….” He scoffed a bit. “I do, but I don’t think that you will do it.”

“You have trusting me?”

“No, not at all, but I am trusting something else. Maybe it would be better if I didn’t open my mouth or else I would get a great beating and before I could take any challenge, I would be over here with my fractured self.” I rolled my eyes. “You both are so similar there; you both had a rolled eyes on my baffling.” I looked at her and she was also looking at me and the she looked at him and dull expression was in her eyes.

“Who will be interested in your stupid talks?”

“I don’t know about others, but I am very sure about myself that I love to baffle and if it could help others' day light up, then I could baffle all day and maybe you guys won’t like my talking so much and must be expecting that I, keep my mouth shut then I am sorry about this as I am kind of talkative one.”

“You really love to talk so much,” I said, and he looked at me with a smile. I looked away.

“Now that we have rested for so long, then we should get ahead.” He stood up and I shook my head.

“When you want to rest, you rest and when you want to walk, then you walk,” the Princess said, and he looked at her.

“Then if you want to rest for some more time, then you are more welcome than anyone else.”

“I don’t want to.”

“You are really fierce. I don’t know how your husband is going to handle you or are you already married?” She looked away and was blushing.

“Why do you have to tease her like that? It is none of our business to know whether she is married or not. We have only one task and that is not to talk about her private life,” I said, and he looked at me and he nodded.

“You are right. I shouldn’t be talking about that. This is her private matter.” We turned away and were about to walk when she talked out of sudden.

“I – I am not married. I didn’t get married.”

“Well, as Prashant said that it wasn’t needed, then why are you telling this to us?”

“I didn’t want you guys to tease me about this further.” Shaurya looked at me and smirked.

“What is wrong with your lips today? They are curling again and again in a smirk.”

“Was I smirking? Why are you paying attention to me? You should look at someone else.”

“Just keep your mouth shut.”

“Alright.” And after that he did the action of zipping his mouth. We moved forward while we were following him from behind and after we had covered a few meters, Shaurya abruptly stopped in his way.

“What is wrong?” He didn’t say anything but looked around and the next moment he turned towards us and took out his hand and pushed us behind the tree and that confused me, but then I realized that he must have heard something and when I looked outside, I saw the arrows.

“This arrow belongs to the commander in chief of our army.” I looked at the Princess.

“You guys also have an army just like those troops who protect their king.”

“Yeah.” Though she is just the same height as us, then I guess that his brother would be of the same height as us, not a giant one, and now it would be interesting to see if the commander of chief is of the same height or is a giant. Then someone came out from the dense side of the forest. He was only about our height.

“ Are all alright?” He asked and I looked at him and nodded. He also looked at that person. “I will handle him.”

“Why is he holding the commander in chief’s arrow?” She mumbled.

“What are you talking about? Is he not commander in chief?” Shaurya asked her.

“No, he is his best disciple.”

“Then let’s see what his best disciple has.”

“What if he harms you?” I asked him.

“Then what? I have to go and take a look and if you find something is off track, then please come and help me.” He said, and I felt as if he had mocked me in the last sentence.

“Are you mocking me?”

“Why would I do that? I am just saying come and help me when you think that it is going off track.” He was about to go when someone also came and he was looking quite older than the previous one.

“He is the commander in chief.” Princess Tiara pointed to the person who had just arrived.

“Sir, there is no one,” His disciple said.

“My eyes can’t betray me. I have seen three shadows.”, Chief said, with worriedness and irritation in his voice.

“His eyes are like an eagle,” she said. She is really helpful right now.

“Should I go and confront them?” Shaurya asked.

“It would be a reckless thought and a move. They can attack you as soon as they see you and you will be dead in no time.” I have a particular thing about this and that is, even if Shaurya tries to get along with her, but then also this princess can’t get along with him at all.

“Oh, I didn’t know that the princess could think a lot about me. I feel honored,” he replied. I guess I should be between them as much as I can or else I think there would be a war of words and maybe it would later on turn into a weapon as well.

“Don’t flatten yourself. Keep your mouth shut and stay over here.” It is better that they are talking in a low voice or else they could have heard us.

“Don’t worry about those shadows anymore, we have to find the princess as soon as possible.” Chief said and the disciple nodded and they both went away from there and I took a sigh of relief.

“Your brother has specially sent the commander in chief in search of you, then I think that you are really important but yet you don’t want to leave?” Shaurya asked her.

“I want freedom for a few days and if you are really that irritated, then I don’t want to be in your company. I am leaving from here.” She started to walk away but I held her wrist and she looked at our hands and then at me and I looked at Shaurya.

“Why are you so aggressive about her being with us?” I asked him.

“Honestly, I am not in that much hurry to send her off because she can help you a lot, but I think we are going to face more trouble as long as she is over here. His brother is a king here and he won’t let go of his sister just like that. I am hoping to see more people searching for her in the near future.” No doubt that he is right, but as long as she wants to be here, then we have to take care of her and that is best.
