Winter stood at the windows looking at the boats they passed on the water. They were on their way, and Winter felt the knots in his stomach tightening. He had thought he was going to be
okay until he went to sleep last night and dreamt about bats with lizard tales swooping in and snatching his mates from the docks. Rey was ripped in half as Dustin was dropped from the sky and left in bloody pieces on the jagged rocks encircling the island next to the dock. He knew it was just his fear manifesting in his mind, but he could still hear their screams and the sickening sounds of Dustin's body hitting those f*****g rocks.
