Elizabeth's POV:
It's been five months since Cody's behavior spiralled out of control. He's been drinking heavily and when he's sober, he's at work. In fact, he's never at home. He never talks to me anymore and it breaks my heart. He isn't the Cody I fell in love with. Cody is now
completely different. A completely different person. Both his parents tried talking to him but that just made his behavior even worse. He even stopped sharing the bed with me. Surely I must've done something. Is it the miscarriage? I can't bring Maya Tristan back, but we can try again. But it's impossible if he won't even look at me.
I don't even realize my phone is ringing until I look at the screen. I pick it up and answer.
