I couldn't breathe. Not when my sister was tied down on a chair. Her sweaty hair falling on her face, her usual pale skin was now covered in faint bruises. She was struggling to get free, her screams muffled in the rag stuffed in her mouth. My eyes watered and suddenly I couldn't stand anymore. I almost slumped down if it weren't for Lucifer who held my bicep and I let out a strangled sob. And that's when her eyes narrowed at the distance, squinting until she recognized me and tears gushed down her now bruised face. She wanted to shout and scream but all I heard were muffled sobs.
"Sage......."
She shook her head vigorously when I was rushing towards her. She kept slamming her feet down, probably to stop me but nothing could now stop me from getting my sister free from their clutches.
