That was the first thing that spilled out of Michael’s mother’s mouth as we stood in front of her. Her lips were parted, and her eyes widened as they searched mine. She takes my hand in hers and lets out a breath, her silver-blonde hair grazing her shoulders as she tilted her head at me.
“Beautiful girl,” she murmurs, peering into my eyes, “what’s your name?”
“I’m Noelle, It’s so nice to meet you,” I replied quietly, the experience overwhelming.
“I would’ve introduced her myself, but you’re way ahead of me apparently.” Michael gave his mother a side hug, before placing a kiss on her forehead.
“You move too slowly,” she grunts, barely glancing at him as he embraces her.”
