Ella’s POV
I slowly open my eyes to the bright fluorescent lights above. My head hurts. Everything hurts. Suddenly I remember why I am here. Anna. Is she okay? Did I get her back safely? I try to move but my body doesn’t work. I’m trapped inside and all I can do is tilt my head to the side. I see a mop of messy brown hair resting on the bed beside me and slowly register the muscular body lying in the chair. I don’t have the energy to be cross with him. So instead I concentrate on gently wiggling my fingers that are resting in the palm of his hand. I see his eyes shoot open instantly and I find I am actually happy to see them.
“Ella? Oh thank Goddess you’re awake.” He runs to the door and calls for a doctor.
