EPILOGUE
A magical sunset hovered above Daniel’s boat as he rode it carefully through the gentle ocean. In the boat, Emily was huddled beside Chantelle, Patricia beside her. Amy and Harry were snuggled up together at the stern, Clyde, Evan, and Stu taking up the rest of the space.
“This is definitely the most people we’ve had on the boat,” Chantelle said. “A grandma, two parents, a pair of fiances, three amigos, one kid, and an almost baby!”
Everyone laughed.
They reached the island and Daniel helped them all get on shore.
“I honestly have no idea what to tell the girls about this,” Patricia said, referencing her friends in the DA. “I mean an island, Emily. How audacious.”
