Tyrese’s POV
It was the usual morning but, not for me and I’d see to it that it ain’t a normal one for her either. Her sharp words were ringing in my head as I recollected how she wanted someone gutsy but, I didn’t want to let these emotions take control of me and ruin our prospects together.
There was more to her than just desire, I knew it since the time I saw her and I wanted to know what it was like when I had finally met her in person.
I woke up the next morning and dashed into the shower and as I stood under the cold water closing my eyes I felt a scene flashing in my mind. I opened my eyes in shock and began to pant for it was not a dream, it was more like a suppressed memory that was trying to resurface.
I closed my eyes again but this time it was not under the shower and nothing flashed in my mind. I stood there in silence for one good minute and then thought of entering the shower again with my eyes closed.
As soon as I stepped inside the shower I felt the cold water touch my bare skin and I felt like I was being teleported to another world. I soon found myself in some medieval times and I was riding a horse in the rain with a painful expression on my face.
I felt uneasy as I rode the horse but the pain in my heart was so excruciating that I had lost the sensations of my physical body, there was only one purpose I was focusing on and it was of pursuing a hooded lady whose laughter and voice was echoing in my conscious.
I don’t know when but I lost consciousness and fell on the bathroom floor as the cold water droplets grazed my body.
----------------------------------------- After I had gained consciousness-----------------------------------------
I woke up in the bed with my butler and Eric standing next to me with a worried face as they inspected me with their scrutinizing gaze. Luckily enough I was in my bathrobes but my hair and pillow were awfully wet.
“What the hell? Why is my bed all wet?” I asked as I tried to get up on my own.
My butler and my family’s most loyal member, Mr. Sebastian helped me by adjusting me to the upright position and removed the wet pillow from my side and replaced it with a dry one. Eric, on the other hand, was still in shock as he kept watching my moves like I were some phantom.
“The hell is wrong with you Eric! I’ll punch your eyes out if you don’t stop looking at me like that” I said as I adjusted my bathrobe making sure nothing private was peeking out to him.
“Dude, you were not so fine a while a ago” he said with a deep concern ringing in his voice.
“Sir, Mr. Eric is right, you had us all concerned” said my butler too.
I looked at him in astonishment and switched my gaze between them as my confusion grew.
“What do you mean?” I asked.
“How much of it do you remember?” Asked Eric.
I tried to recollect and I closed my eyes but, I couldn’t think of anything and I looked back at him with a clueless expression.
“You were trying to break through the glass of your balcony facing shower and jump from it. Had it not been for Mr. Sebastian, who called me in time, you’d have jumped from the balcony and it would have been the worst nightmare for all of us” Narrated Eric.
“You even wounded your feet master” Said Mr. Sebastian as he unwrapped the blanket covering my legs and exposed my bandaged legs.
“What? But, I was perfectly fine until...” I said as I tried to recollect.
I looked at the water droplet slowly slipping down from the glass that was placed across the table and that brought back the scene that had me so desperate. The memory flashed on my mind once again and this time I held on to it!
It was Helena! I was riding a horse in desperation to protect her! She was the hooded lady who was being taken to the gallows! I looked around as I saw Mr. Sebastian and Eric with the concern growing in their eyes.
“It was her! I saw a memory of Helena and me when I was in the shower” I said as I looked at them.
Eric smiled in disbelief and seemed to think that I had finally gone crazy in love but, that was not all! When I looked at Mr. Sebastian he seemed to not believe me either.
“Look, what I saw was true! It seemed so surreal, like a fragment of a lost memory and I need you to trust me on this” I said as I looked at both of them who were now seated next to me.
“I trust you Tyrese and I pretty sure there must be some reason for your violent behavior which happened a while back for the Tyrese I know would never do something like that” said Eric as he looked at me.
“but, you sure you are not seeing things?” he said and all of the reassurance he gave me a while back went down the gutter with this one lame question of his.
“Eric will you listen to what I have to say or will you take my fist in your balls?” I asked with a straight face.
Eric broke a nervous laugh and defensively admitted his defeat and leaned forward to listen to what I had to say. Mr Sebastian was a quiet man and he was carefully gauging me as he sat watching me. I guess they trust me that I’m in senses now and seemed to be prepared to listen to what I had to say.
“As I got into the shower, I closed my eyes and I felt like I was being transported to a different realm. It was some medieval time where the robes of the people looked very traditional and I, myself was dressed like some ancient samurai or knight. I was wearing this armor and my back was stabbed by ten arrows as I rode the horse in desperation to see that one girl for whom my heart ached. My heart was in excruciating pain that none of the physical body aches got to my mind and the only thing that was ringing in my head was a voice of this girl calling out my name.
I stopped when I finally saw a crowd and unmounted my horse and I pushed through the crowd. As I made my way I saw her, Helena, her pure white skin so clear that the droplets of water seeping through were visible to my eyes. She was wearing this long gown and a hood like thing on top of her head but her face carried the most painful smile I’d ever seen.
Her eyes brimmed with tears as she saw me and got up from the ground where she had fallen grieving. I extended my arm to her but she only looked at me before barfing blood through her mouth and she fell to the ground once more but this time she never rose...” I said.
Helena’s lifeless eyes kept staring at me and I didn’t realize I had tears rolling down my cheek until a droplet fell on my arm. I looked at it and then looked back at Eric and Mr. Sebastian who seemed to be equally petrified and moved with my narration of the scene.
“I have to meet her” I said as I tried to get up from the bed.
“Wait, Tyrese! But, this memory of yours is way too clear and way too specific. What has this got to do with you two?” asked Eric
“I don’t know either, I need to find out and the only way is to meet her” I said as I looked at him.
“Master Tyrese, I suggest you don’t tell the lady about this memory of yours yet” Said Sebastian.
I looked at him in bewilderment as I couldnt understand why he would refrain me from speaking of it to Helena.
“Well, I agree with him too. Look, Tyrese, you haven’t met Helena or got to know her. This would possibly creep her out if you confront her. I suggest you take it slow and then bring this up because as far as I know you, it is quite uncommon to see you like this. It would only be better if you take things slow and only when you have earned each others trusts, you bring this up” said Eric.
“I’m pretty sure that this won’t take long for something about her tells me that we’ve been connected from long before and this memory of hers is a clear sign of it” I said as I gazed at the glass of water that had another droplet of water seeping through it’s circumference.
The reminiscence of the scene and the droplets of water and the crimson blood slipping from her soft and pale white skin was the last thing I remember to see before losing my senses. I wonder what this is all about...
