Thankfully, the rest of the journey to the farmhouse is without incident. Beta Richard’s men weren’t able to get through the pass quickly enough to find us, and though I know they’ll keep looking, at least Tamir and the other rogues have time to make their plans.
I’ve been making some plans of my own too.
As I consider the whole situation, I realize that I will have to reveal my wolf to the rogues. Tamir is one thing; I feel like we’ve established a rapport of sorts, and I wanted him to believe in me without having to prove beyond a doubt that I really am a werewolf, but these fifty other men are a different story.
