The second that Tessa stepped into the Princess's chamber early in the morning, the Princess shrieked and leaped at her. Tessa, confused and startled at the sudden high-pitched scream, jumped a little, catching the Princess just in time. The guards that had been standing outside, guarding the hallway, broke into the room to find the Princess in Tessa's arms.
