I covered my body using both of my hands as if that will help me from protecting myself from a tall, gorgeous, and strong vampire in front of me.
He grinned at me. "Should we get started?"
I took a step back but he pulled my waist into him and shook his head.
"Dear, dear. That is not the right way. Let me lead you," he said. I panic even more because of his tone!
He pulls my waist to the couch inside his room.
"Sit down," he ordered which I just oblige.
I didn't do anything. I am just trembling in fear but I am trying so hard to hide that!
"Here is your drink," he offered me a tea! Where did he get this!?
I looked at him in disbelief. He offered me tea as if we are just going to talk about butterflies and stuff!?
"What? Drink that so you can calm down. I hate hearing your heart and feeling your blood," he said.
I just drink his offer. I don't want to defy him or make him mad-not inside his room, only the two of us, and the risk of the cour ladies' job!
"Is it good?" He asked, still standing in front of me.
I nod my head. Well, the tea tastes good. I like teas-but this is the first time I taste a tea with an exceptional taste.
I guess it's a royal thing.
"So I am surprised that you agreed to take some punishment," he said and sit down beside me.
I move away from him a little, but he reach my shoulder and tugged me closer to him.
"You hate taking punishment and didn't care about your people. You seem a different person since the day you hit your head, huh?"
I gulped. I am a different person! But should I tell him that now? I know I already did-but it sounds like an excuse so...
"I am close to believing that you are a different person," he confessed. "But how come your blood is the same as the real princess?"
I don't know too! I don't know why I have the same face, name, and I guess blood with that princess!
My face wrinkled when I felt his hard grip on my shoulder.
"You shouldn't tell people that you are a different person, darling. Rumors will spread like a fire and tell that the next princess is crazy," he threatened me. "I hate liars, Genevierre... So stop."
I nod my head. "Yes..."
He smirked at me. His mischievous eyes glimmered as a sign of satisfaction from our conversation.
"Good..."
He removed his arms around me and lean towards the table. Now what? Where is the punishment?
I didn't feel miserable. Is that it?
I want to slap myself after hearing my thoughts. Am I asking for something miserable? Shouldn't I be happy because it didn't feel that way?!
"Now, for the punishment..." Lazarus muttered making me jump!
Right, Genevierre! This is your fault! Now, there is a punishment!
I thought I am going to face something... well physically.
But he run his palm down to the table-and when finished... a piece of paper was created.
My mouth opened. That's magic! How did he do that?!
"Now, let's start," he announces, and then a pen just instantly pops into his palm!
I was surprised. What is the pen for?
"Now that you are calm and okay, let me explain to you this contract."
Contract? What are we going to do about the contract? Is that the punishment already?
Well... Woah. I didn't expect that the punishment will be in a form of a contract. I think... wrong.
Oh my. Did I just expect a s****l punishment? Well, yes I did! What would you expect!? Am I just too malicious?
"I wanted a wife aside from you," he started.
My forehead knotted. I am not interested in him—but that sounds morally wrong!
"You can be the queen and all. But I want a wife," he said and then throw the pen into the air.
I am dumbfounded again when the pen moves on its own towards the paper and writes something on it. This is... so amazing!
"Any reactions?" He asked me.
I just shrugged my shoulders and nod my head to him.
"Go on. Do what you want to do," I told him.
Well, I don't care if he wanted another wife. That is the least of my concern. But I wonder what would the real Genevierre feel if he find that his husband will have more women.
His eyebrow shot up. "You are fine with it?"
I nod my head. "Is that all? Should I sign on that paper using that magical pen? Woah, this is fascinating..."
"You don't have any problem having another wife?"
"Am I your wife already? Go take someone and make her your wife. I am not interested in you," I said and reach for the pen.
"The Aristocrats wouldn't like your decision," Lazarus said.
I looked at him in disbelief.
"You are the prince," I emphasize to him. "That will be enough. You are the prince of this palace. Who am I to defy the prince?"
"You already have the title of being a princess–"
I put my pen down. "Lazarus, do you want to have a wife aside from me or you will explain what the aristocrats wanted?" I asked him in annoyance.
He didn't answer. Instead, the paper started to light up—and words started to be carved on the paper carefully.
"Aside from that, I don't want you to question me so much..."
"Okay," I nod my head.
"Aren't you feeling furious?" He sounded so pissed. I knotted my head. Why is he mad?
"Why would I?" I said with so much boredom in my tone. I just signed the paper immediately without any hesitation. "There! Should I go already? Don't fire the court ladies! They didn't do anything wrong!"
He is staring at the paper blankly. He looked surprised that I signed it that fast. Lazarus shook his head.
I stand up. I guess that's all!
"We are not done yet," he said and pull my hand.
What? What does he want now?!
"Why aren't you affected?" He asked me, wondering. He pulled my hand harder making me lean on him.
His eyes are wrinkled. "Who are you?"
"What are you talking about?" I asked him in annoyance and pull my hand–but it's just painful! "Hey! Stop gripping my hands too hard!"
"Your tone, the way you talk and looked at me changed," he pointed out.
I gulp.
"Do you blame me for what happened to you?"
What the hell did even happen to the old Genevierre? Come to think of it, I still don't have an idea what happened to her aside from taking her own life... But.
"Yes. What happened to me is your fault. So stop holding me because I still have a meeting to attend," I sneered at him.
Well, I didn't expect that to come from me. But I need to get out of his room immediately! I feel so threatened here and... conscious!
"We should do one more thing..."
My heart pounded. "What? What do we need to do?"
"Seal. Your promise should have a seal. I guess you forget that too, huh?"
Oh... a seal.
I nod my head like a brave man. "Yeah, go on. Make the seal." I ordered him without knowing how to do that seal.
I should have asked him first.
I am waiting for Lazarus to make the seal—but I was horrified when he lean on my wrist and bite it!
"H-Hey!" I panic. But too late! Lazarus created a small slice in my wrist making the blood drip over the paper.
The contract lit up again.
Licking his lips, Lazarus looked up at me. "It's already sealed."
