(Cassie’s POV)
I got out of the shower once I finally cooled down. I quickly dried myself and dressed before heading into the bedroom. Brady was up and looking troubled.
“Hey” I said and startled him “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing love” he said and smiled but I could tell there was something wrong.
“Brady?” he looked conflicted.
“I’m getting a lot of fear from Lia at the moment” he finally said “There’s no pain, but there is fear. Cassie I feel so helpless, what kind of a mate am I if I can’t even protect her from whatever is scaring her” I wanted to help him so much. Not just because he was my friend, but it was my best friend that we were talking about. And I knew how he felt. I felt so helpless in this too.
