CHAPTER 3
Spirit watched from the top of the tallest building, across the street from Rylee’s home, as Rylee sat and poured himself another drink. The poor guy seemed so sad and alone. Spirit wanted to help the Sentience, but he had no idea how. Spirit wasn’t used to dealing with humans and Rylee and his two friends were no exception. Truth be known, Spirit didn’t care for humans all that much as it was and did everything he could to stay away from them.
Rylee was slightly different, he was Taj’s Sentience, which made him Spirit’s by default. He wasn’t sure what all that meant, but seeing Azul and Smoky so gaga over their own, it had Spirit trying to assess and understand his human a little more.
Spirit was not impressed.
