Everything happened fast after that. Everyone was running across everyone. We all had to get to our positions, and fast.
“Be safe,” Lia said as she grabbed my arms.
“You too. If anything, and I mean anything goes wrong…”
“I know,” she said as she kissed me.
Why did this seem so much like a goodbye kiss?
We pulled apart and I looked at her one last time before I turned around to follow the other alphas.
