Shane’s POV
The last week went by faster than I thought it would. Everyone did their best to prepare for what was to come or at least as much as we could, considering the fact that we didn't know the full extent of it. However, the attack was bound to happen, the only question was when.
As the alpha it was my duty to make sure that everyone would be ready and be able to fend for themselves and keep themselves alive as well as others. Not only that, but i needed them to know that i would be there for them. That they could count on me as their alpha.
I slowly slumped down the stairs trying not to show how tired I really was. Not that it really mattered much. Everyone else was just as tired and exhausted as I was. Since we had no way of knowing when the attack would come, everyone was
