April charged through the animal shelter doors, causing them to rebound off the walls with an echoing bang. Her force was misleading, and I would never have thought she was capable of such strength. She rested her body against the glass, holding the entrance open for Aiden to hurry in, whilst carrying the lifeless body that was draped in his arms.
During the drive here, I learned that the injured guy was called Bobby. He was 27 years old and was the closest friend to the others, especially to Kieran, and that was it. Nothing more was said. I was too scared to ask, and the guys seemed too angry and too concerned, stopping them from openly discussing how Bobby got into such a state. Or even how Aiden was able to find him in the first place.
