Chapter 3They let me be for a bit after showing me to my bedroom and bathroom. At least for the foreseeable future. They’d put in a new queen-sized bed for me and Mom had put a holiday comforter on it. Reindeer and snowflakes. I peeked under it to see the bed had been made with hunter green sheets.
She was right when she had said they had done their best to make it seem like my own little apartment with the side door as my entrance should I want it to be. The old bedroom door could be closed off to the main house if I preferred, Jonathan told me. But for now I was okay with things as they were. I doubt Mom and Jonathan intended to just barge in on me.
