Katerina     As we walked to the house next door, Vladimir informed me that I would probably need to buy some furniture, then he offered to drive me to the furniture store.  He owned a shiny, black Chevy Silverado, big enough to haul a lot of furniture in one load, and I was quick to take him up on his offer, knowing I wouldn’t want to sleep on the floor.      Seconds after Vladimir knocked on the front door, a tall, gray haired elderly guy with warm blue eyes answered.  Right away, he flashed a smile at us and greeted, “Hello, you must be my new tenant.  My name is Boris, and I would be happy to show you around before signing the lease.”     I accepted the hand he was holding out and gave the man a handshake, while politely greeting, “Hello, Boris.  It’s a pleasure to meet you.
