Chapter 1Rachel Vidal leaned back in the large office chair in her parents’ basement. She rubbed her temples and blinked several times as the screen’s lights cut through to a headache that bloomed underneath her skin. Ugh. She couldn’t stand to see any more data entry forms. Or banking information. Or whatever else her mother and father had wanted her to review for them, and then scan and upload to their online software that they still didn’t know how to use.
She sighed as she shut off the computer screen. She knew she couldn’t run away from her task at hand, but she was in desperate need of a break.
