Valerio was sitting in his office, attentively going through some files when he heard a knock on his door followed by soft footsteps. He looked up and saw the intern slowly step forward, somewhat carefully.
"Good morning," he greeted her with a smile.
Lilith was surprised to see Valerio smile at her so brightly. He wasn't one for expression.
"Good morning," she greeted back, unsure of what was causing his happy mood that morning. She began to feel really uncomfortable when he continued to stare at her with the smile on his face never once faltering.
"You're in a good mood this morning," she pointed out, hoping he would explain his strange happiness.
"I found an answer to something I have been searching for for a very long time," he told her, explaining no further.
