Although Lilith thought she had fixed the problem with the detective and therefore would never have to see her again, apparently Valerio had a different idea.
"We still need insider information from the police," he said to both Lilith and Angel. "I would like to continue working with you, if that's alright with you."
Lilith scoffed and shook her head in frustration. And the Angel who had been shaking in fear only a few minutes ago seemed to have gained her bravery back because she grinned at Valerio and nodded her head.
"I would love to! Thank you so much for forgiving me."
Lilith still couldn't understand how the man before her was so forgiving. She had returned to thinking of ways to kill the detective again yet the man before her was smiling at her and trying to keep her happy. Li
