Sam was pacing back and forth, worried for the life of his Captain. This was what happened all the time, though Captain James Smith always returned safely.
But hours had passed and the moon had already risen, and there was no sign of the Captain.
“Sam!” He suddenly heard one of the men call.
He looked up, surprised by a beautiful carriage that was approaching them.
Sam worried some more now, picturing all the horrible things that could have happened to the captain.
But when the carriage pulled up to a stop in front of him and the door opened up, Sam laughed.
“Good evening boys!” James said to his crew as he looked up at them from under his brand new tricorn hat.
James looked like a brand new man.
