I slowly opened my eyes blinking a few times to adjust my vision. I was in a white room. I could hear muffled voices outside the room. Everything that happened came flooding back like a tsunami. Sasha taking Yamilet and being attacked by other vampires. The door to the room opens making me jump to my feet and taking a defense stand just as a low growl leaves my lips. A young woman in a white coat stops looking at me with wide eyes.
"You're awake" she whispers.
"Where am I?" I croaked. She moved cautiously to the mini fridge in the corner of the room and gets a bottle of water. She turns to me and I watch every move she makes. She opens the water bottle and hands it to me. I take the water and down it in one go.
"Thank you" I said when I finished.
