“Thanks so much for looking into this. I know I’m probably overreacting, but I just can’t shake the worry.” Sam knotted her hands, concerned they’d crossed a line, stopping by the sheriff’s home.
“Better to check and find out everything is fine than to lose time in case it’s not. It won’t hurt anything to send Atlanta PD out to see what’s what.”
Xander’s wife, Kennedy, perched on the arm of her husband’s chair. “Are you sure I can’t offer y’all some coffee or tea?”
“Thanks, but no. We’ve taken up enough of your evening.” Griff rose and reached for Sam’s hand.
