"I was invited on a birthday party tomorrow evening." I said to mom while we were eating dinner. "And, um, can I go?" She continued eating like she didn't heard me but I still waited for her respond.
Please, let me go. I prayed. Just this once.
"You're not a kid anymore." She said after minutes of waiting. "Do whatever you want." She said without looking at me.
It felt like she doesn't really care if I go or even if I wouldn't came back there again. It hurts.
"T-thanks." I said and forced myself to eat even though I already lost my appetite. I glanced at Emily and she had that worried look on me. I smiled at her.
After dinner, I went to my room and texted Jeffry that I could come tomorrow and he better be there to pick me up since I didn't know where was James house.
