Though Azeem left Kochi after a couple of days, he came back. He was drawn to the city. Well that was what he told Sahana. He got an assignment to cover the history of the Bolgatty palace and the Jewish establishment in Mattancherry. He was quite thrilled. He made it a point to meet Sahana everyday and take her out for coffee.
Mallika was not happy with this development. She liked Azeem but she was not in favour of her daughter spending so much time with him. She voiced her concern to Govind Singh one day. They often called each other to brief news about their children. Govind Singh advised her to not to worry as he trusted Sahana’s sound judgement about people.
