I chased the young little thief through the streets. He was fast, and because of his smaller size, he easily slipped through the big crowd. But I didn’t give up. He is not getting away, was all I could think, as I pushed people away and turned around a corner, right on his heel.
Then he suddenly pulled a lot of baskets that were stacked on top of one another in front of a small stall down and let them block my path. I had to slow down and run around them, giving him a chance to jump up on a barrel before finding a small window to help pull himself up.
