I woke before he did, and all I could do was stare up at the top of the tent. His hair was ticking my chin and his breath was stirring something inside my stomach as it heated my n****e. He had fallen asleep on top of my chest, the blankets long ago discarded off of us, but neither of us felt the chill tangled together the way we were. I lifted my hand and slid it down the side of my neck, feeling the groves of my new mark. It didn’t hurt, on the contrary, it tingled in a way that made me close my eyes and remember how it felt when he sunk his teeth inside me, warming me from the inside.
