NEIL'S POV
Elena and I had been running for a while and we didn't really know where we were going our only clear goal was to get as far away from the palace as possible. I couldn't turn into my wolf form because I would outrun Elena if I did and she couldn't turn into her phoenix form because then we would be seen. we decided not to go to the waterfall because I knew it would be the first place that my father would go to look for us.
I knew that by now my father knew that I was with Elena and he had probably realized that I had chosen her over him. my father never took too kindly to betrayal or anything that he would consider to be betrayal no matter who it came from. I knew he was probably mad at me and I also knew he was probably telling himself that the only way he would ever forgive
