It was hard to tell Mum we were going to question her friends, and to be honest, I'm stunned myself that we have to question them at all. For years, we've spent time with them, from being young to now. Eating meals with them and exploring the woods as we grew up, I would never have suspected them at all, especially if Ned wasn't on the list.
Ned even stood in to train us if dad and Lou were busy with the pack business. They were like family, and that is what makes it hard.
One question that is bugging me, though, is if it is them, why build relationships with us for years just to betray us.
