Ami
Dewi’s lavish apartment was quiet. There was no sound of cartoons blaring from the tv or Rhydians excited laughter. No sound of his feet running from his room to this one so he could jump on the bed and curl himself into my side like he had every morning Dewi had been gone.
It was all so…. Still.
Dewi’s eyes met mine as he emerged from the bathroom, a towel tied around his narrow waist. His eyes were red rimmed.
Like he had been crying. Although it was more likely that had he just got shampoo in them.
“Good morning.” It was amazing how natural it felt waking up in his bed, in his house. Like we were a family. Or at least like we could ve a family. The thought made me smile even wider.
“Hi.” He seemed frozen to the spot. Lingering in the doorway. “Ffion is down for nap.”
