Chapter 3 At the end of the work day, Trey slid into his car and remembered the voicemail on his phone. He sat in the parking lot thinking for a moment. Landon had said he was staying in a hotel. Trey supposed that leaving a house or apartment empty for most of a year was impractical, and that probably meant wherever Landon had previously lived, the lease had expired or he had sublet it.
