“Oh it’s so good to be home!” I slumped down on the couch and tossed my crutches to the side of the sofa.
“Don’t leave them everywhere” Ella shook her head as she grabbed them and placed them closer to me.
“My bad” I laughed. I missed her policing me around the house and making sure everything is in place.
“So the lawyers called while you were in the bathroom.” I told Ella as she looked up from whatever she was doing and came to my side.
“What did they say?”
“Falsifying of document, grand larceny and attempted murder, he’s going to be behind bars for a very very very long time. He tried to plea a deal but Carmen refused to lessen the charges and told him he must bear all responsibility.” Ella nodded her head in agreement and smiled.
“This has been one heck of a month.” I nodded
