It's been a week since Ember came home. Most of her physical wounds have healed. Except the one on her chest. The mental and emotional ones however, have not even started to close. She doesn't get out of bed unless she has to, meaning only when I have to leave the room. She refuses to be alone. I'm not complaining. She comes everywhere with me and I love knowing she is safe. But it's still lonely. She barely talks, barley eats. She is with me, but still so distant. I can only touch her when I hold her at night. She only holds on to me when the nightmare comes. Which is every night. Somehow she has even found a way to hide her emotions through our link. It's void. She often stares off into space. I have tried to get her to talk. She won't.
