I had thought that my first days in his house would be spent learning my way about the kitchen, and how to take care of his clothes. However all those activities were done by Mrs. Castle and the cook, Renny. The grounds of the house and the stables were taken care of by Jock, a good-looking young man much closer to my age than my husband who had a lively look in his eyes and a ready smile.
